History of the Royal Security Command

This was formerly under the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army. In 2013, the Royal Security Unit was transformed into a juristic entity of division level, under the Ministry of Defence. His Majesty the King, then the Crown Prince, was the commander. Then the Royal Service Administration Act 2017, which was published in the Royal Gazette on 1 May 2017, called for the restructuring of the royal service administration offices, while the Royal Decree on the Royal Administration and Personnel Organisation 2017 called for the establishment of the Royal Security Command.
